Amy has served on our Board since 2016 and has been President since 2021. She moved to Burlingame Hills in 2006 from the Easton Addition and has lived in Burlingame since 1992.  Amy, her husband, Blair and their three adult children  have loved living in Burlingame Hills. Amy & Blair love to visit their grown kids in LA and spend time in Costa Rica where Blair works.

Amy's family has a long history in the Bay Area dating back to before the Gold Rush! You can say this is home for her and her extended family.

Amy has been very active in the Burlingame community. She taught at Lincoln School, was President of the PTA at Roosevelt School and served on the parent board at Me

nlo School when her children were in attendance. Amy currently teaches at Peninsula Bridge, has her own Riman skincare business and serves on other boards as well as BHIA.

As for hobbies, she loves to cook, attend CAL football games, and be found daily walking the hills with her dog, Jeff.

Michael has served on our Board of Directors since 2018. He is the Chief Business Officer for a pharmaceutical company and an independent Salesforce consultant. He provides technical solutions and expertise that can be used and understood at all levels of an organization. He earned a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Artificial Intelligence from Curtin University.

Yana, along with her husband Tom and their two daughters, Maud and Emma, moved to Burlingame Hills in 2023. They share their home with their two adventurous cats, Mary and her baby, Peanut.

Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Yana came to the U.S. in 2002 and spent time in the Detroit area and Chicago before settling in the Bay Area in 2014. Professionally, she is a leader at a South San Francisco-based biotech company, bringing extensive expertise in contracting, business operations, and process improvements.

Away from work, Yana enjoys taking walks in the Hills, baking with her girls, hosting cheese parties with friends, dancing and traveling with her family. She is excited by the opportunity to serve on the Board and support the Burlingame Hills community.

Jeani has lived in Burlingame Hills for 11 years. She is an independent healthcare technology consultant and venture capital investor. Over the past 27 years, she has served as a Director on 27 Boards including both public and private companies, spanning multiple therapeutic areas and stages of companies from startups to commercial stage. She has extensive experience with audit, finance, and recruitment. She enjoys being active on the Boards for which she serves and has a strong interest in the issues facing our community. 

Originally from Hawaii, Nicholas has called the Burlingame Hills home since 2015, where he lives with his wife, Charlene, their two daughters, Natalie (9) and Emilia (6), who attend Hoover Elementary, and their two Corgis.

He leads a real estate management company focused on the hospitality sector and has served on the BHIA Board intermittently since 2016. Nicholas also participates in a number of advisory and volunteer groups tied to his daughters’ schools.

When he’s not working or volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his family and finding time for the occasional round of golf.

Frederick (Freddie) is a physician and wellness advocate who cares deeply about the health of our community. He has expertise in healthcare strategy, organizational behavior, and leading wellness initiatives.

He looks forward to making a positive impact in Burlingame Hills and has a special interest in community improvements that support families. 

Tom moved to Hillside with his wife Anh in 2022. They have been very impressed with how friendly and welcoming the community is here and have enjoyed meeting many of you at neighborhood parties and out walking on Los Robles. Since moving here Tom and Anh have had their first child and are looking forward to raising her in this amazing community.

Tom has a PhD in physics and now is a software engineer and entrepreneur. He applies an engineering mindset to life and is always looking for ways to use technology or processes to make life better or easier in big and small ways. He has served on the board and/or as webmaster for many community and student organizations.

Tom enjoys board games, cooking, rock climbing, hiking and boating.

Tom is eager to help maintain what is great about this community and find ways to make it even better.
